Ordering

Everything We Make Is Custom. Here Is How It Works.

Obsidian Manufacturing does not sell from a catalogue. Every display case, every Logic Exhibit System installation, and every piece of millwork is designed and built around your specific space and objects. The ordering process starts with a conversation. This page tells you what to expect.

The Logic Exhibit System

The Logic Exhibit System

A modular exhibit system: aluminium frames, glass panels, connectors, shelves, and coverplates that assemble into display walls and cases in many configurations. Ships flat-packed across Canada and the United States. Most institutions install it themselves. On-site installation and training are available by arrangement.

From First Enquiry to Finished Installation

1. Get in Touch

You do not need a finished brief to start. Tell us the type of space you are working with, roughly how many cases you need, what you will be displaying, and your timeline. Call us at (226) 383-8080, email, or use the contact form. We respond the same day.

2. Consultation

We have a proper conversation about your project. For custom cases, this covers space, objects, security, lighting, materials, and finishes. For Logic, we discuss your exhibition programme, floor area, and how you plan to use the system over time. Site visits are welcome for local clients. For out-of-province projects, drawings, photographs, and measurements work well.

3. Design and Specification

For custom cases, we produce drawings and specifications for your approval before anything goes into fabrication. We iterate until the design is right. For Logic, we help you plan your configuration and produce a full component list with clear pricing.

4. Quote and Approval

You receive a written quote tied to the approved specification. No estimate ranges. If anything changes after you review it, we update before you confirm the order.

5. Fabrication

Custom cases are built once a deposit is received. We work with high-clarity tempered and laminated glass, aluminium, steel, and premium wood. Most custom case projects take six to twelve weeks from deposit. Logic orders typically take four to eight weeks. We give you a specific delivery date at order confirmation.

6. Shipping and Delivery

We ship across Canada and the United States. All orders are custom-crated. Logic components ship in either a standard crate or a reusable heavy-duty crate for institutions that need to reship or store components between exhibitions. Shipping costs are a separate line item in your quote.

7. Installation

Professional installation by our team is available for custom cases and is recommended for complex multi-case projects. Logic Exhibit System orders come with full assembly instructions. On-site installation and staff training are available for Logic by arrangement, quoted separately based on your location and order size.

We accept bank transfer, cheque, and major credit cards. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
