What We Build for Retail
Counter Showcases
The primary display format for most retail environments. Counter showcases sit at serving height, present product at natural eye level for a standing customer, and give staff immediate access for demonstrations and handling. Available in 1/3, 1/2, and full-width configurations with a standard 48-inch length and custom lengths available for runs or irregular floor plans. Lower storage with hinged doors or drawers and locks is built in as an option, keeping backstock and packaging at the point of sale without adding clutter to the floor.
Wall Cases
Perimeter wall cases extend the display area of a store without consuming floor space. They are effective for presenting a range of items at a glance, for organizing categories visually, or for creating a backdrop that gives the store a sense of depth and completeness. Available in 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, and full-width formats with solid or glass backs. Integrated LED puck lighting is standard.
Tower Displays
Freestanding tower cases create vertical interest and serve as natural waypoints in a retail floor plan. A well-positioned tower draws customers through the store and creates a reason to stop. Available in short and tall formats across 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, and full configurations. Effective for featured products, limited editions, new arrivals, and any collection that benefits from being separated from the main floor display.
Tabletop Showcases
Compact cases for point-of-sale placement, counter-top use, or display within an existing case run. Available from $1,900 CAD and configurable with the full range of lighting, glass, and finish options. Useful for presenting a focused selection without reconfiguring the main display infrastructure.
Mannequin Display Cases
Enclosed glass cases for apparel, accessories, and wearable products that benefit from being presented on a form rather than a surface. Available in full-width and custom configurations. Particularly effective for boutiques, luxury fashion retailers, and specialty stores where the displayed item needs to be seen in context.
Coordinated Store Layouts
For new openings and full fit-outs where the entire display environment is being specified at once, Obsidian designs and builds coordinated case runs across counter, wall, and tower formats. Finishes, proportions, hardware, and lighting are matched across every case so the store reads as a designed environment rather than an assortment of individual purchases. We work from floor plans and, where relevant, can advise on layout and customer flow.
